Bloober Team believes the critics have calmed down after Silent Hill 2

Since its inception back in 2008, it's fair to say that Bloober Team hasn't always been on a roll. After becoming famous with the release of the first Layers of Fear in 2016, the Polish studio came under fire after the release of several games considered disappointing by some gamers.

Those were Layers of Fear 2, The Medium and Blair Witch. However, with the release of Silent Hill 2 last year, Bloober Team has regained its rightful place in the hearts of survival-horror games.

In an interview with PC Gamer for the previews of Cronos: The New Dawn, producer Jacek Zięba showed a bit of spite against the critics.

"We are starting to stop feeling like underdogs all the time after Silent Hill. The Silent Hill era wasn't so easy in the eyes of the public. There were a lot of voices: 'Oh no, Bloober is doing this. They will destroy that.' It was very tough for the whole company to stick to our guns and put all our heart into that thing, even if most people don't want it. We proved people wrong, so that's nice."

"We're in a different moment. I think we're riding the wave of people being intrigued, and we need to deliver. We know we need to deliver. We put our hearts into all our games, and we do whatever we can to make it the best."

Bloober Team is also working on a remake for the first Silent Hill.
