Naughty Dog is abandoning Uncharted and leaving the door open for The Last of Us Part III

At present, the Californian studio is working on a multiplayer game set in The Last of Us universe. After that, Naughty Dog's plans remain unclear. But one thing is certain: the company will not be leading the development of another Uncharted. Neil Druckmann, co-president of the studio, confirmed this information in an interview with BuzzFeed.
"For us, Uncharted was a huge success, and we put our finishing touch on that story, and we can say we're done with it. We're moving on," he said.
As for a hypothetical The Last of Us Part III, Druckmann does not close the door but emphasizes that " [...] it's up to us to decide whether we want to continue or not." Nothing seems set in stone at the moment.
