Mafia: The Old Country is said to be as long as the first two entries

With Mafia: The Old Country going for just the €49.99 price point, many are expecting a more condensed experience, to say the least, what with the devs chosing to forego the open world part.

Hangar 13 president Nick Baynes has reassured fans about the title's lifespan. According to him, "no one needs to be concerned about the quality of the game or anything like that, or it being super short". Baynes added that fans can expect "a Mafia I, Mafia II style experience".

The average time needed to complete these two games was between 10 and 14 hours, so Mafia: The Old Country should fall within that range. The head of the studio also mentioned one of the main things going for this entry.

"Obviously we were going through a big engine revision as well for this game too so we wanted to keep it quite focused on what we think Mafia does best, which is telling great stories."

Mafia: The Old Country will be available on August 8.
