Intel is reportedly developing a CPU with 144 MB of L3 cache to compete with AMD's 3D V-Cache

Intel is reportedly planning to integrate a large amount of L3 cache into certain versions of the next-gen Nova Lake processors, including the 8P/16E and 8P/12E models. These would be aimed directly at the gaming segment, with a cache of up to 144 MB according to rumors, compared to 128 MB for the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D.
These models would be part of the Core Ultra 300K range, with a TDP of 125W, and would retain hybrid cores unlike AMD's P-core-only chips. The 8P/16E model is expected to come out first, followed by the 16P/32E. Intel hopes to return to the forefront of the gaming scene after what were considered disappointing performances with the Raptor Lake and Arrow Lake series.
