A 250W mod for the RTX 5090 Laptop boosts GPU gaming performance

A modder from the GizmoSlipTech channel has tested a shunt modding method on an RTX 5090 laptop, pushing its power consumption up to 250W, compared to the 175W in the original configuration.
The result: significant performance gains, depending on games and benchmarks.
Here are some results obtained after modification:
- 3DMark Steel Nomad: +7.6% (225W), +10.8% (250W)
- Black Myth: Wukong: +23%.
- Cyberpunk 2077: +21.7%
- The Witcher 3: +29%
- Hogwarts Legacy: +14.2%
- Rainbow Six Siege: +14.9%
- Shadow of the Tomb Raider: between +3.9% and +8.2%
