Nintendo will keep investing in gaming

In addition to its films and series, Netflix has become a serious player in the video game industry. As part of its subscription service, the American firm provides access to dozens of mobile titles, and even goes so far as to develop its own games.
During the presentation of its financial results, Netflix co-CEO Gregory K. Peters spoke of the company's future investments in the gaming market. Peters said he wanted to increase these investments, which are ultimately quite low compared to the firm's overall spending on content acquisition and creation.
However, Peters points out that Netflix wants "to remain disciplined by not investing too much until we demonstrate that we know how to translate this investment into value for our members". The firm says it has made "good progress" on licensed games like GTA and those developed in-house like Squid Game: Unleashed. Netflix plans to add more games to these two categories.
