Remedy reveals the new features for FBC: Firebreak
, by Thibaut
With a 63% Metacritic average and so far mixed reviews on Steam, FBC: Firebreak is far from being unanimously acclaimed. However, Remedy Entertainment is going to try and fix this with a number of new features.
The studio has announced that the first major update for its cooperative title will be rolled out at the end of September. But before they shut themselves away to focus on this big patch, the developers have detailed what they're currently working on.
First of all, a new job (a class) will be offered in FBC: Firebreak. Three new heavy weapons will also be included. In addition, Remedy has noticed that many players quit the game after just one hour. To further engage the community, elements explaining the game world and our character's place within it will be added. Tips will also be displayed more prominently.
The system of generic weapon upgrades will be abandoned and replaced by mods. These will adjust the operation of each weapon and make them more powerful. Matchmaking will also be redesigned, and additional game modes will be introduced. Finally, more varied objectives will be introduced in the different zones during a game.
