Hitman: World of Assassination will get a performance patch for Switch 2
, by Thibaut
After releasing as the same time as the console on June 6, Hitman: World of Assassination is experiencing problems on Switch 2. The game's framerate is unstable and jerky on this version.
In a message sent to the VGC site, director Jonathan Lacaille at IO Interactive stated his intention to correct these problems.
"So for Hitman, the team is working on some of those performance issues right now, and they are addressing it over the summer. It’s, of course, good learning for us to bring to First Light as well – so all of this will be learnings we bring to the next title."
Lacaille added that IO's Glacier engine favors game development on multiple machines.
