Nexus Mods will add age verification for adult content
, by Thibaut
After being sold last month, Nexus Mods will now apply new measures to comply with recent legislation in the UK and the European Union.
The mods download site will be implementing an age verification procedure for users wishing to access adult content. Full details have yet to be released, but Nexus Mods still intends to offer its mods in compliance with the new laws. Users outside the EU and Great Britain are not affected.
Nexus Mods will also update its terms of use to state "what counts as illegal content under UK law and how we protect children from harm whilst on the site".
In addition, a new system with automated detection of child pornography will be introduced. Such content will be immediately removed from the platform and reported to the National Crime Agency.
