Mario Kart World now forces journeys between two circuits
, by Thibaut
In addition to 24-driver battles, Knock-out Tour and an open world, Mario Kart World has introduced yet another thing that has been somewhat overlooked.
Between two traditional races, players must now travel from one circuit to another during a race that links the two tracks. The community calls these intermission races. Not being to everyone's taste, these famous races were sometimes avoided by forcing three laps on the same circuit.
This is no longer possible with the 1.1.2 update, which has just been rolled out. By selecting a random race in VS mode, there will be a 50/50 chance of finding a route linking two circuits.
The patch also fixes some issues such as players transformed into Bill Balle constantly bumping into the wall towards the finish line of Cinema Boo. The slow recovery after a fall in Dino Dino Jungle has been improved, and ranking changes on online races and survival modes are now displayed correctly.
