Chinese manufacturer MECHREVO is teasing a new model of gaming laptop, though without revealing the exact specifications. According to ITHome, this version would be all about the RTX 5050, an entry-level graphics card based on the GB207 GPU from the Blackwell series.
Although the name of the chip is not explicitly mentioned, MECHREVO refers to the arrival of a new laptop GPU. No other manufacturer (neither AMD nor Intel) has announced a new laptop card, which gives credence to the RTX 5050 hypothesis.
Leaks suggest that the RTX 5050 (both laptop and desktop versions) will feature 2048 CUDA cores and 8 GB of VRAM, potentially GDDR7. However, some manufacturers are still talking about GDDR6. The official announcement is expected today.
