NetEase presents a new AAA action-adventure game called Blood Message

It's a very ambitious project that Chinese firm NetEase revealed today. Here's Blood Message, a big-budget single-player narrative action-adventure title.

The title was revealed via a beautiful cinematic trailer. It runs on Unreal Engine 5, with tools and technologies from development studio 24 Entertainment Lin'an. Blood Message will be the very first game from this company, which is a subsidiary of Thunder Fire Studio.

This AAA title will feature an anonymous messenger and his young son at the heart of the Dunhuang uprising. Our duo will embark on a dangerous journey to the east to deliver a message of vital importance to the continuation of the war.

The game will be focused on the narrative, with a highly cinematic feel. Combat will be visceral and realistic. There's survival mechanics and stealth too. We'll traverse vast landscapes inspired by East and Central Asia, all set against the backdrop of a moving adventrure that deals with themes such as loyalty, honor, family, cultural identity and sacrifice.

Blood Message will be released at an unknown date on consoles and PC. Platforms have yet to be specified.
