In its annual report published this Thursday, Embracer Group took stock of its workforce. And it's fair to say that the Swedish company cut a very significant number of jobs over the year.
A total of 1,857 people were made redundant between March 2024 and March 2025. The PC and console games division went from 6,404 to 4,918. The mobile subsidiary now has 743 employees instead of 1,081. Also, the teams dedicated to services and entertainment have dropped from 771 to 738 employees. In all, 6,482 people work for Embracer.
Finally, the multinational now has 62 studios, compared with 73 previously.
