Donkey Kong Bananza: Some gameplay, an Amiibo, co-op and Mouse mode
, by Thibaut
As promised, Nintendo held a Direct for Donkey Kong Bananza this week. What's more, pre-orders are open now ahead of the game's release scheduled for July 17, 2025, on Switch 2.
The presentation focused primarily on the gameplay of this new 3D installment. It's worth noting that the character Pauline will also make a comeback. She will be able to sing, which will allow our beloved gorilla to transform.
The video shows what's DK is capable of, his transformations, several battles, exploration in search of golden bananas, challenges, and even the photo mode. It's worth noting that the adventure will be playable in coop, with one player playing as DK and the other as Pauline. GameShare will be available to allow two players to play with a single copy of the game.
Furthermore, the Joy-Con 2's mouse functionality will be used in DK Artist mode, allowing users to freely sculpt rocks. Finally, a Donkey Kong & Pauline Amiibo will also be released on July 17th. All other Amiibo figures will be compatible.
