NVIDIA's RTX 5050 Laptop is about to be released. It's based on the GB207 GPU and said to feature 2,560 CUDA cores, or 20 multiprocessor streams - a configuration identical to that expected for the desktop version.
According to a Geekbench leak, the laptop GPU features a boost frequency of 2407 MHz and 8 GB of VRAM. The type of memory (GDDR6 or GDDR7) is not specified, but the desktop model is expected to use GDDR6 at 20 Gbps, which could also apply to this version.
In terms of performance, the RTX 5050 Laptop achieves 88,727 points on Geekbench OpenCL. This is around 14% slower than the RTX 5060 Laptop, but 19% faster than the RTX 4050 Laptop, while still being close to the RTX 4060 Laptop (89,206 points). For now, the exact TDP of the GPU is unknown.
