Laptops featuring an RTX 5050 are popping at retail outlets
, by Quentin
The launch of the RTX 5050 for laptops seems imminent, although we don't know much about its memory specifications. It could very well be NVIDIA's slowest Blackwell GPU to date.
NVIDIA is preparing an RTX 5050 for both desktop and laptop PCs. Several retailers and notebook manufacturers are now listing the laptop version, but with no precise details on the memory used. Sources suggest either 8 GB GDDR7 or GDDR6.
The GPU is said to be based on the GB207 chip, the smallest in the Blackwell architecture. The laptop model could feature as many CUDA cores as the desktop version (2,560), but with differences in TDP, frequency and memory type.
