Mario Kart World gets top marks from the press

It's no secret that the press didn't get to test Switch 2 games before the console's launch. That's why we're a little late in discovering the scores for Mario Kart World.

On OpenCritic, the racing game's average score so far stands at 88% (30 reviews). On Metacritic, the average is also 88%, with 49 reviews.

Reviewers are mainly praising the Knockout Tour mode, the fun of multiplayer, the driving feeling and the tension from each race. However, there are still a few stumbling blocks, notably the absence of a 200cc mode, the somewhat anecdotal Free mode and the 30 FPS in multiplayer.
