Sonic Frontiers is the best-selling 3D installment of the franchise, with 3.5 million copies sold

Before its release last November, Sonic Frontiers was far from reassuring fans of the blue hedgehog. Indeed, the game seemed to opt for a rather empty and directionless open world. However, the SEGA title received fairly decent ratings from the specialized press. Moreover, the public was there to support it.

Thus, the Japanese publisher has confirmed that Sonic Frontiers has sold 3.5 million copies since its launch in November 2022. These results make it the biggest commercial success for a 3D installment.
