With a particular focus on Japanese studios, the latest State of Play was far from unanimously acclaimed. Nevertheless, this edition is now the most viewed since the program's inception.
On YouTube, the June 4, 2025 State of Play has already racked up 2.8 million views in just over 24 hours. This figure does not include the audience attracted on other streams. February 2025's State of Play reached 2.5 million views.
This is still a far cry from the PlayStation Showcase of May 2023, which had 4.9 million views.
