How to get the Switch 2 edition of Hogwarts Legacy with the physical Switch 1 version?

Those who own Hogwarts Legacy on physical Switch can get the Switch 2 version at a preferential rate. Instead of paying €59.99, eligible users can buy it for just €10. But there's a slightly tedious procedure to follow in order to benefit from this advantage.
To begin with, the Switch game card must be inserted into the Switch 2. Next, you'll need to play through the intro until our hero arrives at Hogwarts. Then it's time to go to the Hogwarts Legacy main menu, then to the “additional content” section. A box appears to select the Switch 2 version at a discount.
The player is redirected to the eShop, where he or she must grab the discount for free. Afterwards, it is necessary to quit Hogwarts Legacy to go to the eShop again. The Switch 2 version will then be displayed at -83%, for €10. Once the purchase has been validated, the download will start and the Switch 2 application will appear on the console's main menu.
This Switch 2 iteration of Hogwarts Legacy is 23 GB in size. It is not necessary to have the Switch 1 version card in the console to launch the Switch 2 software. You'll be able to re-use your Switch savegame on the new version.
