Ubisoft denies that its CEO had to appear before the French courts
, by Thibaut
On May 20, Solidaires Informatique announced that several current and former Ubisoft employees had been summoned to appear before the courts in connection with accusations of sexual and moral harassment and sexual assault.
Among those targeted were Yves Guillemot, the publisher's CEO, and Marie Derain, the Human Resources Director. In a press release sent to us on Wednesday May 28, Ubisoft denies what it considers to be "false information".
"Unfounded information has been circulating in recent days, claiming that Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot and a member of Ubisoft's HR team have received a direct summons to appear before the 15th Correctional Chamber of the Bobigny Court."
"We categorically deny these allegations. Neither Ubisoft, Yves, nor any member of our HR team is involved in these proceedings. We have cooperated fully with the authorities in this matter and, out of respect for the judicial process, will make no further comment on the matter."
