ACER announces the first specifications of the RTX 5050 for laptops
, by Quentin
ACER has confirmed the frequencies and power consumption of the future RTX 5050 for laptops, an entry-level graphics card that NVIDIA has yet to announce. In fact, there's no announcement of a desktop edition either.
The exact GPU (GB206 or GB207) and memory configuration remain unknown, but some leaks suggest the presence of 8 GB GDDR7. The card will be integrated into NITRO notebooks, alongside other models such as the RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti.
Five TGP configurations have been announced:
- 50 W (up to 60 W): 1500 MHz (1600 MHz with ACER overclock)
- 60 W (up to 75 W): 1905 MHz
- 70 W (up to 85 W): 2212 MHz (2313 MHz OC)
- 80 W (up to 95 W) : 2212 MHz (2312 MHz OC)
- 100 W (up to 115 W): 2550 MHz (2650 MHz OC)
The RTX 5050 is intended to replace the RTX 4050, the two models being pin-compatible. ACER has not specified a release date just yet, but its arrival seems quite near.
