Mortal Kombat 1 will no longer get new content

Back on May 14, NetherRealm announced Mortal Kombat 1: Definitive Edition including the base game and all DLC. With this announcement, gamers saw a possible end to the title's development.
In the end, the studio took the floor to confirm the news. Mortal Kombat 1 will no longer receive character or narrative DLC. That said, there will still be patches to correct bugs and provide better balancing.
"We understand this will be disappointing for fans, but our team at NetherRealm needs to shift focus to the next project in order to make it as great as we possibly can."
