MindsEye's first previews are not very positive

The specialized press had the chance to try out MindsEye, the first game from Build A Rocket Boy. The studio was founded by former Rockstar Games producer Leslie Benzies. There's lot of expectation surrounding the title, which is poised to come out on June 10.

Alas, initial feedback is far from glowing. While the cinematics have been described as "superb" and "well animated", and the combat as "very enjoyable", there are still many shortcomings, starting with the many, many bugs found.

The driving experience was deemed "stiff" by testers, and the AI lacked depth. Enemies are said to simply run towards the player. Red Rock City will be relatively empty when the game is released. The developers have already stated that post-launch content is planned to offer a wider range of activities.

There's an Arcadia mode planned, and it will allow users to create their own missions and upload them online. This portal will initially only be available on PC.

In short, the majority of testers feel that the game needs a delay, given MindsEye's shortcomings.
