Fortnite is finally back on the App Store after being gone for five years

Fortnite is once again available on Apple's App Store in the United States after being gone for five years due to a legal dispute between Epic Games and Apple. Removed in 2020 for violating payment rules imposed by Apple, the game had attempted a comeback on May 9, 2025, but was blocked by a prolonged validation procedure.
Faced with this persistent blockage, an American judge demanded that Apple justify the exclusion of Fortnite, despite court rulings authorizing its return. Such pressure finally led to the game's reinstatement.
Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite is now available on iPhone and iPad via the App Store in the US, as well as via the Epic Games Store and AltStore in Europe. The game requires iOS/iPadOS 17.4 at least and 576.6 MB of free space.
