Activision lets go Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile
, by Thibaut
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile released on iOS and Android back in March 2024, and it's going to disappear in the coming hours already. Activision is dropping support for the game.
It will no longer be possible to purchase virtual currency, and there won't be more seasonal content released for it. What's more, as of this Sunday, May 18, the title will no longer be downloadable via the App Store and Google Play. However, those who have installed Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile on their devices will be able to continue playing online.
In its press release, the American publisher gave the reason behind this decision.
"This decision was made after careful consideration of a number of factors, and while we're proud to have succeeded in bringing Call of Duty: Warzone to mobile in an authentic way, the game unfortunately didn't live up to our expectations with mobile gamers as it did on PC and consoles."
