SNK CEO resigns after the fail of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves' launch

Despite being in almost every social media platform, with an aggressive marketing campaign during certain events, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves was not as successful as expected.

Although we don't know the actual figures, this has ended up with the resignation of Kenji Matsubara as CEO of SNK. Matsubara, who will take up his post in 2021, will from now on act as an advisor to the company. The Chairman of the Board will act as interim CEO until a successor is appointed.

According to Famitsu, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves sold just 6,302 copies in Japan during its first 11 days on the market. The Steam version saw a peak of just 4,674 simultaneous players.
