Bandai Namco records an impressive 995% increase in annual profits

Last October, Bandai Namco was going through a difficult period with project cancellations and other staff cuts. Now, things are finally looking up for the Japanese publisher.

On its results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, Bandai Namco reports a 22.5% year-on-year increase in net sales, to $3.16 billion (against an initial forecast of $2.57 billion). The company's profits also soared by 995%, to a total of $475 million (instead of the projected $208 million).

Bandai Namco owes this success to Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree and above all to Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero, which has sold 5.4 million units worldwide so far. Sales of console games were even 42.6% up on the previous year. Finally, sales of games for service rose by 3.5% year-on-year.
