The PS5 already reaches 38.4 million units sold worldwide

Everything is going well for Sony Interactive Entertainment! The gaming branch of the Japanese giant has released its latest figures and they are extremely positive. The PlayStation 5 overwhelmingly dominates the market and could well establish a new record by the end of its career.
During the last quarter (January-March 2023), 6.3 million consoles were sold worldwide. This represents an increase of 215% compared to the same period in 2022. In the fiscal year from April 2022 to March 2023, 19.1 million PS5s were sold. It is also worth noting the sale of 264.2 million games (PS5/PS4).
Since its launch in November 2020, the PlayStation 5 has reached 38.4 million sales worldwide. This is better than the PS4 and the Nintendo Switch at the same point in their lifecycle. Finally, Sony's gaming division generated €24.5 billion in revenue in the last financial year.
