The actress who plays Yennefer didn't even know she was in The Witcher 3

Denise Gough is best known for lending her voice to Yennefer of Vengerberg in The Witcher 3. Her performance was much appreciated by gamers, who would love to see her again in the next installment of the franchise.

But before that, the voice actress made a surprising revelation to Eurogamer. She revealed that when she recorded the dialogues, she had no idea what character she was playing.

"I didn't know what I was doing. I'd never made a video game before. And then lots of, usually men, would come up to me in sound departments on film sets, would come up and go [whispers] 'are you Yennefer?' And I was like 'who's Yennefer?'"

It remains to be seen whether she will reprise her role in The Witcher 4. The game doesn't have a release date just yet.
