AMD is preparing the Ryzen 9000G and EPYC 4005 for the AM5 socket

AMD is working to release several new CPUs in the coming weeks, including two models designed for the AM5 socket: Ryzen 9000G (codenamed Gorgon Point) and EPYC 4005 (Grado).

The Ryzen 9000G is the successor to the Ryzen 8000G, with Zen 5 cores and an RDNA 3.5 iGPU. This would be an update of the Strix Point architecture, available in several variants, notably for laptops.

The EPYC 4005 model (Grado) would target the server or workstation segment. It would replace the EPYC 4004, known as the only 4-core processor on AM5.

There are other products coming: Threadripper PRO 9000WX (Shimada Peak), the Ryzen AI 400 range, a Soundwave chip on socket FF5 (ARM), as well as the Radeon RX 9060 XT and RX 9000M GPUs.
