Nintendo wants the personal information of the one behind Pokémon's Teraleak
, by Thibaut
Last October, lots of details of past and future projects from the Pokémon franchise made its way to the Internet following a major leak. This information was then relayed by someone called GameFreakOUT on Discord.
According to a document obtained by the Polygon website, Nintendois seeking to find this Internet user. To this end, the Japanese firm's lawyers have decided to take the case to a Californian court, all with the aim to force Discord to disclose the name, postal address, telephone number and e-mail address of the person allegedly responsible for the Teraleak.
However, there is currently no proof that it was this mysterious “GameFreakOUT” who obtained all this information himself. Last year, Game Greak simply acknowledged that someone had gained "unauthorized access" to its servers.
