The next Nintendo console is making headlines through a job offer
, by Thibaut
Everyone is eagerly anticipating Nintendo's future machine. The Switch has nothing left to prove with its numerous hits and 122.5 million units sold in just six years of existence. And on the eve of the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the hybrid console could well be living its last hours before the arrival of a replacement.
As always, rumors abound on this subject. Every year, analysts, insiders, and journalists expect to catch a glimpse of this famous new console... Yet Nintendo has so far remained silent on the matter. But that doesn't stop the manufacturer from recruiting in order to ensure the design of its machine.
In a recent job offer for “engineers and researchers in the field of technologies related to game development”, we learn that this "Switch 2" could offer a cross-platform feature. A hint that would point to possible backward compatibility with titles from the previous generation.
Of course, we'll have to wait for an official statement from Nintendo to know for sure.
