No, Cyberpunk 2077 hasn't been ported to Switch 2 in seven weeks

Just after the announcement of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on Switch 2, a surprising piece of information began to make the rounds on the Internet. Some reports claimed that the game had been ported in seven weeks, which was quite a feat.

However, CD Projekt RED recently explained that these reports were incorrect. The Polish studio clarified that the Switch 2 version shown at Nintendo Direct was not made in seven weeks, but was based on seven-week-old code. It's safe to assume that it must have taken several months of work to achieve this result.

The game is due for release on Nintendo's console on June 5, 2025.
