Bandai Namco cancelled a Ridge Racer title back in 2017... and you can check it out in this video

The Ridge Racer franchise was born in 1983 and has since completely disappeared from the radar. The last entry was released in 2016 on mobile devices. Add to this the fact that the last entry for console and PC came out in 2013 and was nothing more than a free-to-play abandoned the very next year.
Yet it seems Bandai Namco made a real attempt to bring back the IP fairly recently. We just got a video of a Ridge Racer developed by Bandai Namco Studios Singapore. It's a prototype created in January 2017, running on Switch using the Unreal Engine 4.
Of course, the project has since been abandoned.
