Amazon's Tomb Raider TV series has reportedly been cancelled
, by Thibaut
Up until now, Amazon had been working on a TV series for Tomb Raider to be directed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. [What's more, Sophie Turner (of Game of Thrones fame)] (https://news.instant-gaming.com/en/articles/9271-sophie-turner-game-of-thrones-is-in-talks-to-play-lara-croft) was even tipped to play the famous adventurer.
However, the Daily Mail reports today that the project is "dead" and that the series won't come out. We don't know the official reason for the cancellation just yet.
Back on March 27, Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon MGM Studios, stepped down from her position. She was a strong supporter of the Tomb Raider series project, and her departure could have brought the adaptation to a halt.
