A Steam Deck prototype has been sold on eBay for $3,000. Spotted by a Reddit user, this model is said to be the 34th engineering copy, not intended for sale.
It has no operating system installed and features circular touchpads, a layout close to the current model, with a few differences, including the absence of a joystick.
The seller did not specify the origin of the device. According to the buyer, this prototype corresponds visually to a model spotted in a digital booklet published by Valve during the Steam Deck launch in Asia.
No official confirmation of the device's authenticity has been given.
