Season 2 of The Last of Us corresponds to the first half of the second game

While the The Last of Us franchise currently boasts just two video games, the series is set to go well beyond the two-season mark. In fact, the first reviews of season 2 have just come in, with an average score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.
According to new information, the seven episodes that make up this second season cover only half of The Last of Us Part II. So much so, that some members of the press have suggested that Season 2 "scatters" a little compared to the first. Presumably, many scenes have been added compared to the game.
The Last of Us series will make its comeback on April 13.
