AMD is said to be working on a Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chip for handhelds

AMD is reportedly planning to launch a new AI-accelerated Ryzen Z2 Extreme APU for portable gaming consoles. This model would be labelled AI, a first for this range.
Currently, only the MSI Claw, equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 200V processor, features this AI moniker, thanks in particular to its compatibility with the Copilot+PC program. The latter is officially supported on Lunar Lake and Strix Point systems.
AI functions are mainly Windows-oriented and do not directly concern in-game performance. AMD seems intent on aligning its offering with Intel's by adding AI capabilities to its portable consoles.
