NVIDIA claims that the Switch 2 offers 10 times the graphics performance of the Switch

There had been some uncertainty about wether the Nintendo Switch 2 has DLSS support or not. In the end, the console is capable of using the technology.

Moreover, NVIDIA has commented that the Switch 2 boasts 10 times the graphics performance of the first Switch released in 2017. After all, the machine's GPU is capable of 4K graphics in docked mode and up to 120 FPS in 1080p via portable mode.

What's more, there's also the G-SYNC function, which is used to adapt the screen's refresh rate to the graphics processor's frame rate. This ensures smooth, tear-free renders in portable mode.

While performance looks solid on paper, it remains to be seen whether it will actually materialize in-game. Cyberpunk 2077 seems to be struggling, with maximum definition at 1080p and a framerate of 40 FPS in performance mode when the Switch 2 is in the dock.
