AMD is said to be working on a Radeon RX 9070 GRE for China

According to the Chinese media outlet ITHome, AMD could be working on a new Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card. This announcement comes shortly after the non-XT Radeon RX 9070 stocks in China having ran out, suggesting that the new card could replace it.

We have no official specifications just yet, but the model could be equipped with a 192-bit memory bus and 12 GB of GDDR6 memory. This configuration would place the RX 9070 GRE between the RX 9060 XT (128-bit) and RX 9070, while approaching the specifications of the rival RTX 5070.

Historically, GRE (“Great Radeon Edition”) models have been aimed primarily at the Chinese market, although AMD has occasionally offered them elsewhere, such as the RX 7900 GRE.

This card could also respond to supply constraints affecting other AMD references available on this market.
