In order to counter scalpers, Nintendo has decided to implement several measures that will be applied when pre-orders for the Switch 2 open on April 8, 2025.
To be able to buy the machine on the brand's online store, you'll have to tick several boxes. Preference will be given to customers who have had an uninterrupted subscription to Nintendo Switch Online for at least two years as of March 31, 2025. Naturally, the subscription must remain active at the time of purchase.
After that, you'll need to have spent a certain amount of time playing paid Switch games. The number of games owned will also be important. Users must also have authorized data sharing with Nintendo.
Finally, users must have agreed to receive e-mails and promotional messages from Nintendo. In other words, few people will be eligible for all these criteria.
