, by Quentin
The Switch 2 has been eagerly awaited by fans the world over for months, if not years. The main question on consumers' minds has been what it will look like.
So Nintendo has finally told us more about the machine's technical specifications, including its 7.9-inch, 1080p, HDR-compatible LCD screen.
As previously announced, the Joy-Con 2 will feature magnetic attachments. The SL and SR buttons are now larger, as are the sticks.
The integrated speakers are improved, with clearer sound and 3D rendering. The machine also features a built-in microphone for voice chat.
The presence of two USB-C ports is also noteworthy: one at the bottom and another at the top of the console. Internal memory is increased to 256 GB, with faster write speeds. Please note, however, that microSD cards compatible with the old Switch will no longer be compatible with this new model.
Last but not least, the dock is now compatible with 4K and incorporates a fan to enable the console to handle this resolution on TV sets.
