The future of Electronic Arts' life sims franchise will focus primarily on The Sims 4. After all, the publisher has confirmed that the fifth game will not see the light of day in the immediate future. However, there are other concepts around the license being studied.
Initially intended to be Sims 5, “Project Rene” will be a kind of new spin on the formula that will coexist alongside Sims 4. A few playtests have recently been held, and it's presumably this that has been leaked via a long gameplay video on YouTube.
This is undoubtedly a free-to-play mobile game in which players can meet online to chat and eat together in a Parisian-style city. The app is currently called *City Life Game with Friends.
