Sony gives more details on the story of Ghost of Yōtei

Sony has recently updated Ghost of Yōtei's page. Sucker Punch's title is due for release this year on PS5, and we've learned about some new story elements.
We already knew that this new title would be set in 1603, over 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima. The player will embody Atsu, who sets out on a long journey through the lands bordering Mount Yōtei. This "wilderness of vast green expanses, icy tundra and unexpected dangers" will serve as our playground.
The warrior will seek revenge on those responsible for the death of her family. To continue her journey, she'll have to take on a series of odd jobs and bounties to raise the necessary funds. It's also up to us to choose her fighting style.
