The new boss of Starbreeze (Payday) wants the studio to be able to work on several games
, by Thibaut
Starbreeze Studios is facing a number of difficulties following the resounding failure that was Payday 3. So much so that last year, the game's game director ended up being fired.
Now, the Swedish company has found a new CEO in Adolf Kristjansson. His long career includes 13 years at EA, where he was in charge of the publisher's worldwide sales strategy. He also recently spent a year at Thunderful Group.
In a press release, Kristjansson outlined his strategy for the future of Starbreeze.
"I join Starbreeze with great enthusiasm for the company’s current and future projects, not the least the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons title. I look forward to continuing the work of expanding the PAYDAY franchise further and building Starbreeze into a true multi-title studio. Most of all, I look forward to working closely with our talented teams and engaging with our passionate player community as we build the next chapter of Starbreeze together."
