There has been some confusion surrounding the assessment of Silent Hill f in Australia. The Australian Classification Commission has announced that the game has yet to be evaluated by its teams. In fact, it has not been banned by local authorities. The organization has simply indicated that the famous evaluation will take place closer to the title's launch.
The page dedicated to Silent Hill f on the Australian government website has been removed. It could therefore be a simple computer error.

Australia clearly won't be getting Silent Hill f. The Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts Classification Council (IARC) has rejected Konami's title.
No precise reason was given for this, though it's common knowledge that Australia's classification body is regularly very strict when it comes to video games. Titles such as Silent Hill: Homecoming, Saints Row 4, South Park: The Stick of Truth and Hotline Miami 2 have also been banned by Australia.
We can therefore assume that Silent Hill f was deemed too violent and frightening to be released in the country.
