With Assassin's Creed Shadows' release fast approaching, Ubisoft has put up an anti-harassmen plan to protect its devs
, by Thibaut
Since its announcement, Assassin's Creed Shadows has suffered several delays and numerous polemics against the game's depiction of feudal Japan. The game's release this Thursday, March 20, could well rekindle tensions on social networks.
This is why Ubisoft has decided to implement measures to protect its employees from online harassment and threats. The publisher has reportedly advised its employees not to communicate their affiliation with Ubisoft on social networks. A team has been set up to identify targeted attacks so that rapid action can be taken. Psychological and legal support will be provided to those affected.
The unit dedicated to this task will constantly monitor forums such as Reddit, as well as X and YouTube. Lawyers will be called in immediately in the event of verified threats or harassment.
