Rockstar Games has acquired the Australian studio Video Games Deluxe

While we desperately wait for details on GTA VI, the Rockstar community will be delighted (or not) to learn that the star company has acquired a studio.

Australian company Video Games Deluxe has come under the control of Rockstar Games. It will be renamed Rockstar Australia. In the past, this studio worked on the version of L.A. Noire released in 2017 and on L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files. We also owe it the improvements made to Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on all supports.

This is what Rockstar had to say on the acquisition.

"Rockstar Games’ relationship with the Video Games Deluxe team began with founder Brendan McNamara’s former studio, Team Bondi, and the creation of the critically acclaimed and groundbreaking detective thriller, L.A. Noire."

For his part, McNamara, founder of Video Games Deluxe, said he was "thrilled to be a part of Rockstar Games and to continue our efforts to make the best games possible."
