Steam officially tops 40 million concurrent users
, by Thibaut
Here's a new record for Valve's platform! Last December](https://news.instant-gaming.com/en/articles/9590-steam-reaches-another-record-number-of-concurrent-players-with-over-39-million-users-logged), Steam had the highest number of concurrent users in its history, with a total of 39,205,447 players.
This Sunday, March 2, 2025 will go down in the history books (yes, that's right!), as Steam set a record of 40,017,061 simultaneous users. Of these, 12.3 million were actually playing.
